Senior School

The Senior School educates pupils from Y9 (age14) to Y11 (age 15). These are an important time for all pupils at Repton as they work toward their IGCSE examinations. The school has developed a unique programme designed to support the social and educational welfare of all pupils.

Subjects studied in Year 9.

The aim of Y9 is to continue the broad, balanced curriculum. All pupils have lessons in:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Modern Language
  • History
  • Geography
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Computer Science
  • Design & Technology
  • Music
  • Art
  • Drama
  • PE
  • Personal Social Health Education (including Careers, Citizenship and Study Skills)

The curriculum is revised regularly; changes are therefore likely from time to time.

IGCSE choices

Pupils must make their IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) choices toward the end of Year 9.

Subject teachers and tutors will guide pupils through this process.
